Speaker: Mayor Coppinger

Mayor Coppinger was elected to the Commission in 2006 where he served for five years, until his appointment as Hamilton County Mayor. In 2011, Mayor Coppinger was sworn into office and was re-elected in 2012 and 2014, where he currently serves. He proudly serves on numerous boards, including the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, the Joint Economic and Community Development Board, Read 20, the River City Board, UTC Chancellor’s Roundtable and the Workforce Development Board. In 2015, the Tennessee Association of Manufacturers awarded Mayor Coppinger with the C.D. Mitchell award, and he has been elected into the Halls of Fame for the Chattanooga Fire Department and Hixson High School.
